RICE FISH CULTURE AND ECOLOGICAL INTENSIFICATION OF AQUACULTURE PONDS

Dr Kazi Ahmed Kabir is a researcher at CIRAD-ISEM in the Diva team. He was born on the coast of Bangladesh and obtained his bachelor’s and master’s degrees from the University of Dhaka. He obtained his PhD and postdoc from Wageningen University, the Netherlands. He has extensive experience in tropical aquaculture gained in several countries in Asia and Africa.  In the framework of AquaCAM, together with Fia and other partners of the Fia project, he will develop experimental pilot projects in rice-fish aquaculture. Furthermore, on February 22nd, Dr Kazi gave a lecture on “Ecological intensification of pond aquaculture” in the FiA meeting room. FIA representatives and students from the UK and Preak Leap School of Agriculture highly appreciated his lecture.
